WHO WE ARE / OUR MISSION
NYC Rubber Club (NYRC) is an adult social club for rubber/latex culture and the multi-fetish/kink community in New York City. We are an inclusive group of people from all over the world, with diverse backgrounds. We are committed to providing a safe and welcoming environment for all, regardless of gender identity, sexual identity & orientation, physical appearance, personal beliefs, fetish interests, or lack of familiarity with fetishes and kinks.
CONSENT
Gear is not consent. Just because an individual is wearing gear (rubber, latex, leather, etc.) does not mean it permits you to touch the individual. Please ask first, state your intentions, and respect a ‘no’. ‘No’ means ‘no’ – Consent may be retracted at any time, and without a need for explanation.
PHOTOGRAPHY & VIDEO RECORDING
Photography, film, and video recording for personal use are generally allowed. Please be aware that it is possible that you might inadvertently appear in the background of said photos and videos.
Attendees are asked to be courteous when photographing or filming others and to ask permission prior to recording or taking pictures. If an individual does not wish to be photographed or filmed their wishes must be respected. If you wish to take photos, a good suggestion would be to use ‘Portrait’ mode on your phone’s camera as that will blur the background and individuals who may not want to be in the photo.
Photography, film, or recording for the purposes of sale, publication, mass media, or public dissemination is expressly prohibited without authorization from the individuals and the NYRC.
NYRC EVENT CONDUCT / BEHAVIOR
We invite all those who participate in our events to help us create a safe and positive experience for everyone. Be mindful of your surroundings and the other individuals at the event. Community event venues may be shared with members of the public; please be respectful to all patrons of these locations.
Unacceptable behaviors include: intimidation, harassment, abuse, discrimination, intentional misgendering, derogatory or demeaning speech or actions by any participant in our community online, or at all related NYRC events. Disrespecting the rights of other attendees will not be tolerated. Individuals who do not behave within this code of conduct will be asked to leave.
REPORTING / ADDRESSING GRIEVANCES
If you feel that you are subject to unacceptable behavior, notice that another individual is subject to unacceptable behavior, or have concerns, please contact the NYC Rubber Club at rubbermen.nyc@gmail.com or in-person to a NYC Rubber Club committee member.
